Q:I feel like Sulla isn't obsessed with sex the way a lot of teenagers are and the fact that she isn't is one of the things that makes her feel out-of-place.
At this point in her life, she doesn’t really see how that sort of thing would fit in with who she is. There are still a lot of feelings bouncing around in her head that she doesn’t know how to make sense of, and quite a few questions that make her uncomfortable, so she tries not to think about them.
That’s one of several things that makes her feel out-of-place, and you’ll see how she deals with some of those things later this chapter.
Q:I imagine Al and Brendan sleep together at least sometimes.
I guess that’s possible.
gimme sexcanons about my characters RIGHT NOW
(and then ill give commentary and post them [with an #nsfw tag])

I guess it’s gonna be one of those nights when I find out just how much folks think about the fictional people I made up.

Q:So have you decided if you're going to SPX? Registration is tomorrow!
I’d like to! I hope I can get a table again. Last year was amazing. :P
Q:Hi! Speaking of your poster idea and conventions...would you ever consider to come to a European con? London Expo, maybe? ;3; your're my webcomic hero, but I'm a poor European schmuck!
Man, going to a convention in Europe somewhere would be really fun! I keep hearing more and more good things about UK cons, so I’ll have to keep an eye on those.
TCAF will be my first non-American con, and the big thing’s gonna be figuring how much of a hassle shipping gay comics across the border will be. :/
Q:Thanks for posting Ba Mi Dele. Apparently I've been listening to one of Asa's songs for years without realizing there was more out there. In return, have you heard of Zaki Ibrahim? She has a different style, more electronica. Ah, sorry if this is not how tumblr works.
Dang, I like her stuff! I bet fans of Janelle Monáe would dig her. Kind of has a Zap Mama thing going on, too. Thanks for the recommendation!
Q:If robots can't feel heat or cold, why are the Synth Toasties supposed to be toasted?
Good question! This actually brings up a bigger idea that’s gonna be addressed pretty soon in this chapter - why robots eat at all. Pretty funny that it’s brought up via the Synth Toasties, though.
That said, while robots aren’t bothered by heat and cold, more advanced robots have pretty sharp senses and that includes detecting flavors and textures in the food they ingest. And as far as flavor and textures go, eating a hot Pop Tart is TOTALLY different from eating a cold one. I actually almost never toast my Pop Tarts, because hot Pop Tarts always tasted kind of grody to me. :P
Q:Did you paint the watercolor background for the violinist image yourself? I am very interested in purchasing a commissioned piece with a background like that! Also I assume digital just means a jpg and original means a physical paper drawing? Sorry to have to clarify everything to the "t"... :D

This was a digital commission, so all of the colors were done digitally. I have a bunch of watercolor washes in a file that’ll I’ll borrow and color-tweak for interesting textures or backgrounds. I like experimenting with coloring digitally, so I could sure try that again.
An original drawing would be a drawing on Bristol board that I mail out to you, and you have the choice of just B/W (pen and ink) or color (watercolor added to pen and ink, or digital color if I think it’ll suit it better).
I hope that answers your questions!
Q:Are you going to be at SPX 2013? I can't believe it's in Bethesda! I live so close to the Marriot!
I’d really like to! Last year was my first time at SPX, and I really really enjoyed myself. It’s also fairly easy to get to from DC by public transit, too.
Also, just wanted to say that I haven’t had the time to reply to everyone’s messages yet, but I have read them all, and I appreciate your kind words. Some of them I want to take the time to make good responses to!
Q:a Valentine's day date, surprise me ;D

I’m done.
