My hands have been getting a little stiff and awkward in my drawings, so I gave myself some hand homework.
Yesterday was a good day for people wearing interesting clothes.
Saw these matching black-and-white girls at work the other day.
Last post of ‘11! Next year I’m try and loosen up my art a bit more and tighten it in other spots.
I just wanted to draw a bunch of different faces, and then I finished the doodle by having them all wait for a bus.

A friend started showing me these funny “abridged” Dragonball Z episodes and now I’m on a bit of an Akira Toriyama bender. I actually have fond memories of watching DBZ after school every day, even when I was aware of how dumb and painfully slow the action was. It was basically a soap opera for children, but with more punching and planets blowing up.
Plus, Toriyama’s designs are pretty great, especially the clothes. At this point, Vegeta’s armor is pretty iconic, and I coveted Bulma’s future-eighties outfits as a kid. And when he sticks to light-hearted comedy comics like Dr. Slump, Toriyama’s a good storyteller, too.
oh dear god why
why did i draw this

Quick sketch of a lady I saw at a thing I went to last night.
