It is indeed set in Minneapolis! Al’s workshop/home is based on a real building in the Mill Ruins area on the west bank of the Mississippi River.

Brendan and Sulla live on a nonexistent hill in the St. Anthony area. In Chapter 3 you’re actually going to see quite a bit of downtown, which I’m super excited to draw. Minneapolis is a really cool city.
